Ice breaker

This will be my first picture. Why? Because it's the first picture I ever took in Spain. Once I arrived in Spain I was terrified. I missed my tour guides who were supposed to pick me up from the airport so I need to take cab to the hotel. I had no idea what to do but I just walked outside and hopped into a cab! It was a silent ride until the last 10 minutes. As we drove to downtown Madrid I spotted a tower, a peculiar one at best. I asked the driver, "que aqui"! and pointed ahead, he responded very quickly in Spanish, "......television.....". That was literally all I understood but it started a flood of Spanish from his mouth. Arriving at the hotel I was proud of myself for actually making and in feeling of bliss I tipped the cab driver. My tour guides were so happy to see me alive and embraced me as if we were old friends. I told them about how I managed to make it to the hotel and my conversations with the taxi driver. But after I told them that I tipped him they looked at me in confusion and said, "we don't tip in Spain, it's not common." Rule #1: no tipping!!!
